Taficita Tablet |
Taffic is a prescription medicine for treating HIV-1 in adults and children who weigh at least 25 kg. It is effective for patients who have never used anti-HIV-1 drugs and for those who need to change their treatment based on their doctor’s advice. HIV-1 is the virus responsible for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), a condition that progressively weakens the immune system and increases the risk of infection.
It is manufactured by Hetero Drugs. The tablet contains bictegravir, emtricitabine, and tenofovir alafenamide, three powerful antiviral drugs. Together, these ingredients prevent the virus in a way that helps patients achieve and maintain an undetectable viral load. Comparable to the well-known Generic Biktarvy, Taffic Tablet offers a robust treatment option for individuals living with HIV-1.
Taffic Tablet is an advanced antiretroviral drug that combines three potent antiviral agents: Bictegravir, Emtricitabine, and Tenofovir Alafenamide.
This combination works synergistically to suppress HIV, helping patients achieve and maintain an undetectable viral load. The tablet contains Bictegravir 50mg, Emtricitabine 200mg, and Tenofovir Alafenamide 25mg, creating a powerful treatment option comparable to the well-known Biktarvy generic. Biktarvy prevents HIV-1 from multiplying in the body.
Bictegravir is a strong drug that helps manage HIV, a virus that harms the immune system. It works by blocking the integrase enzyme, which HIV needs to insert its genetic material into human DNA. By stopping this enzyme, bictegravir prevents the virus from multiplying and spreading, helping to control HIV infection. Bictegravir has shown strong effectiveness in clinical trials.
The trial also showed that bictegravir had fewer side effects compared to efavirenz, particularly fewer central nervous system issues like dizziness and vivid dreams. Patients on bictegravir also had fewer reasons to stop taking the drug, showing it is easier to tolerate.
Emtricitabine is a strong medication used to treat HIV, a virus that weakens the immune system. It is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) that works by blocking the reverse transcriptase enzyme. This enzyme allows HIV to change its RNA into DNA, which is essential for the virus to multiply and infect host cells.
By stopping this process, emtricitabine helps control the spread of HIV in the body. Clinical studies show that emtricitabine is effective when used with other treatments. For instance, the EMTRIVA study found that 83% of patients achieved lasting viral suppression after 48 weeks when taking emtricitabine with other antiretroviral drugs. This high success rate highlights emtricitabine’s vital role in treating HIV-1, making it an essential part of HIV therapy.
Tenofovir Alfenamide (TAF) is a new version of tenofovir, a common nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI). TAF is safer than its older version, Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate (TDF).
It works well with lower doses, which reduces the risk of side effects. Clinical studies, like ECHO and THRIVE, showed that Tenofovir Alafenamide causes fewer kidney and bone problems than TDF. This makes TAF a popular option for treating HIV-1 today.
Take one Taffic Tablet once a day, with or without food. Try to take it at the same time each day to keep the right amount in your body.
If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Don’t take two doses at once. Get back to your regular schedule as soon as you can.
If you take too much Taffic Tablet, seek medical help immediately. Symptoms of an overdose may include severe dizziness, nausea, or other unusual signs. Keep the medication in a safe place to avoid accidental overdoses, especially around children.
Taffic Tablet is a cheaper option than Biktarvy. It has the same active ingredients: Bictegravir, Emtricitabine, and Tenofovir Alafenamide, which help treat HIV effectively. It offers similar benefits for controlling the virus and supporting the immune system while possibly lowering risks to kidney function and bone health. Taffic Tablets may also be easier to find in some areas, making them a dependable and affordable choice for managing HIV over the long term.
Traffic tablets can cause some side effects. Patients should be aware of both common and serious side effects to monitor their health effectively.
Taffic Tablets may not be safe during pregnancy. Limited human studies and animal research show it can harm a developing baby. Your doctor will consider the benefits and risks before prescribing it.
Taffic Tablet is likely unsafe while breastfeeding. Limited data suggest it may pass into breast milk and harm the baby.
Taffic Tablet carefully if you have severe kidney disease. You may need a dose adjustment.
Taffic Tablets may make you less alert, affect your vision, or cause sleepiness and dizziness. Avoid driving if you experience these symptoms.
Taffic Tablet carefully if you have severe liver disease. You may need a dose adjustment. Consult your doctor.
