Celofem 2.5mg Tablet は、シプロテロン酢酸を有効成分とする薬剤です。シプロテロン酢酸は、合成ステロイド性抗アンドロゲンおよびプロゲステロンです。アンドロゲン（男性ホルモン）の作用をブロックし、またプロゲステロン様活性も有します。この二重の作用により、アンドロゲンが過剰に関与する状態の治療に有効です。
Celofem 2.5mg は主に、重度の多毛症（過多毛）、重度のニキビ、特に他の治療が不成功だった場合の女性型男性型脱毛症（男性型脱毛症）の治療に使用されます。また、中等度以上のニキビと多毛症を伴う女性に対して、エチニルエストラジオールと併用したホルモン避妊にも用いられます。
Celofem 2.5mg Tablet の典型的な用量は医療従事者の指示に従ってください。通常は1日1回経口投与されます。投与量および治療期間については、必ず医師の指示に従ってください。副作用としては、気分変化、疲労、体重増加、性欲低下などが報告されています。重篤な副作用は稀ですが、肝機能障害や血栓症が起こることがあります。本薬は湿気や熱を避け、室温で保存してください。
