Description

Tucanat 150mg Tablet is a treatment for a type of breast cancer called HER2-positive breast cancer. It is beneficial when the cancer has spread to other parts of the body, including the brain. It is usually taken together with two other medicines: trastuzumab and capecitabine. The main ingredient, Tucatinib, works by blocking the HER2 protein that helps cancer cells grow. This helps slow down or stop the cancer from spreading. Tucatinib is not chemotherapy. It is a targeted therapy, meaning it primarily targets cancer cells and is less harmful to normal cells. It must be taken only as prescribed by a doctor, with regular checkups during the treatment. Tucanat 150mg Tablet is used for: HER2-positive breast cancer that has spread or become advanced Breast cancer that has spread to the brain Given with trastuzumab and capecitabine after other HER2 treatments stop working This medicine is usually used when earlier treatments have become ineffective. How It Works Tucanat 150mg Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called tyrosine kinase inhibitors. It works by: Targeting the HER2 protein that helps cancer cells grow Blocking signals that allow cancer cells to multiply Working together with other cancer medicines Reaching cancer that has spread to the brain This helps slow the disease while avoiding damage to healthy cells.
