Indacaterol/Glycopyrronium (brand name Ultibro Breezhaler) is a fixed-dose combination of a long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist (LABA) and a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA) for the maintenance bronchodilator treatment of COPD. The dual bronchodilation mechanism provides superior lung function improvement compared to monotherapy.

Mechanism of Action

• Indacaterol 110mcg (LABA): Beta2-receptor agonist producing bronchial smooth muscle relaxation lasting 24 hours
• Glycopyrronium 50mcg (LAMA): Muscarinic receptor antagonist reducing bronchoconstriction and mucus secretion through anticholinergic action

Indications

• Maintenance bronchodilator treatment for adults with COPD
• Patients requiring dual bronchodilation (LABA + LAMA)
• Reduction of COPD exacerbations in high-risk patients

Dosage
