Levoflox 500 Tablet is a potent antibiotic medication belonging to the fluoroquinolone class. Its active ingredient, Levofloxacin, works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, essential enzymes for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. This disruption leads to the death of susceptible bacteria.
Levoflox 500 Tablet is indicated for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections, including but not limited to, respiratory tract infections (such as pneumonia and acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis), urinary tract infections (including complicated and uncomplicated), skin and soft tissue infections, and certain sexually transmitted infections. It is effective against a broad spectrum of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
