Its active ingredient, Lucaparib, belongs to a class of drugs known as PARP (poly ADP-ribose polymerase) inhibitors. PARP enzymes play a crucial role in DNA repair within cells. It is also used for the maintenance treatment of adult patients with advanced ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer, whose disease is a response to first-line or subsequent platinum-based chemotherapy.
