Description
Chemotinib 400mg Tablet is a targeted therapy medication used in the treatment of certain types of cancer. Its active ingredient, Gefitinib, is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) that specifically targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). By inhibiting EGFR, Chemotinib blocks the signals that promote cancer cell growth and proliferation, leading to a reduction in tumor size and progression. It is primarily indicated for patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) whose tumors have specific EGFR mutations. The typical dosage is one 400mg tablet taken orally once daily, with or without food. However, dosage adjustments may be necessary based on individual patient response and tolerance. Common side effects can include diarrhea, rash, acneiform eruptions, nausea, vomiting, and dry skin. Less common but serious side effects may occur, so patients should report any new or worsening symptoms to their healthcare provider. Chemotinib 400mg Tablets should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and direct light, and kept out of reach of children.
