Description
Lucaparib 200mg Tablet is a targeted therapy medication used in the treatment of certain types of cancer. Its active ingredient, Lucaparib, belongs to a class of drugs called PARP (poly ADP-ribose polymerase) inhibitors. PARP enzymes play a crucial role in DNA repair within cells. In cancer cells with specific genetic mutations, such as those in BRCA genes, the DNA repair mechanisms are already compromised. By inhibiting PARP, Lucaparib further prevents these cancer cells from repairing their damaged DNA, leading to their death. Lucaparib is primarily indicated for the treatment of adult patients with deleterious or suspected deleterious germline or somatic BRCA-mutated (as determined by an FDA-approved test) advanced ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer, who have been treated with three or more prior lines of chemotherapy.
