Pazonat 400 mg Tablet contains pazopanib, a targeted anticancer medicine classified as a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI). It is prescribed for adults to treat advanced kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma) that has spread to other parts of the body. It is also used in certain types of advanced soft-tissue sarcoma, a cancer that develops in supportive tissues such as muscles, fat, or blood vessels.
This medicine works by blocking specific proteins responsible for tumor growth and the formation of new blood vessels that supply cancer cells. By cutting off this blood supply, it helps slow down or stop the growth and spread of cancer.
Pazonat 400mg Tablet acts as a targeted biological therapy. It blocks proteins known as Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) receptors, which are essential for the development of new blood vessels in tumors. By inhibiting these signals, the medicine restricts tumor nourishment, helping to shrink cancer cells and prevent further multiplication.
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to pazopanib or any of its ingredients.
