Introduction to Leflunomide
This drug is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. This is a condition in which the body's immune system fails to recognize the body itself and attacks the healthy tissues around the joints. Leflunomide helps to reduce joint damage/pain/swelling and allows you to move better. It works by weakening your immune system and decreasing swelling. Leflunomide is an antirheumatic drug developed by the U.S. Food And Drug Administration and initially approved on 9 Oct 1998 for treating rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis.
