Introduction:
Mirabegron is a beta-3 adrenergic agonist used to treat overactive bladder. Solifenacin is an antimuscarinic agent that also treats overactive bladder by relaxing bladder muscles.
Uses of Mirabegron & solifenacin:
Mirabegron and solifenacin are used in combination to treat symptoms of overactive bladder, including frequent urination, urgency, and incontinence.
How it Works:
Mirabegron activates beta-3 adrenergic receptors, relaxing the bladder’s detrusor muscle. Mirabegron stimulates beta-3 adrenergic receptors, leading to the relaxation of bladder muscles, increased bladder capacity, and reduced urgency and frequency of urination. Conversely, Solifenacin stops muscarinic receptors, relaxing the bladder muscles, reducing contractions, and increasing bladder capacity. This combined action helps improve overall bladder control and reduce urinary symptoms.
