Intoduction to Posaconazole

Posaconazole is a group of medicines called Azole antifungals. The U.S. FDA officially approved Posaconazole for its medical use in 2006.

Posaconazole belongs to a class of drug known as antifungal medicines. It is used to treat infections caused by various types of fungi such as Aspergillus and Candida, in patients who are at high risk of developing these infections. Posaconazole is majorly prescribed to severely immunocompromised patients in cases of cancer or those undergoing blood transfusion or chemotherapy.

Posaconazole is an antifungal medication. It kills and stops the growth of the fungi by destroying its cell membrane, thereby treating your skin infection.
